been developing since 1996 was successful.

The National Penn Bank supermarket division will be open for business on
Sunday, January 2, 2000. All National Penn Bancshares offices will be open on
Monday, January 3, 2000. Customers can access account information at any time
through Empower Phone Banking, Empower PC Banking, and Empower Web Banking.
In addition, they can call National Penn's Empower Phone Center on January 1,
2000 between the hours of 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. and on January 2, 2000 between the
hours of 11 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.
