ATLANTA, Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- WORLDSPAN, the Atlanta-based global
distribution system (GDS), entered Year 2000 with no technical problems in the
transition of its global mainframe and operating systems, applications
software and products.
"We crossed the bridge to Y2K with ease," said Sue Powers, WORLDSPAN vice
president of Sales and Marketing. "All of our preparations, testing,
development and in some cases, replacement of technologies and systems paid
off. The system is performing exactly as planned. Approximately
140 different systems serving WORLDSPAN customers on a global scale continue
to be closely monitored."
WORLDSPAN will remain focused on customer transitions throughout the week.
