Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure
BEDFORD PARK, Ill., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Corn Products International's
(NYSE: CPO) internal manufacturing and administrative processes proceeded to
operate as normal on January 1, 2000. Corn Products International, Inc.,
expects normal operations to continue and foresees no disruptions in its
functions from Year 2000 (Y2K) related issues.
During 1997, Corn Products International developed a plan to address
potential Y2K readiness concerns and, in 1999, completed activities critical
to a smooth transition as we moved from 1999 into 2000.
Corn Products International's Y2K preparedness included the replacement or
repair of all critical internal systems, hardware, and software throughout its
plants, building facilities and business systems. The Company also reviewed
critical vendors supplying goods and services to Corn Products International
and had contingency plans in place in case any problems arose.
