TROY, MI USA
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Delphi Corporation will show a
variety of new mobile multimedia technologies in five different vehicles
here at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show, Jan. 8-11 (North
Las Vegas Convention Center, Exhibit 5206).
    (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20020315/DEF002LOGO )
Delphi's original equipment technologies offer cost savings to vehicle
manufacturers -- and help automakers offer motorists more convenient and
efficient in-vehicle communications and entertainment options.
    Highlights include:
    Integrated Class-D Amplifier
Delphi integrates a premium remote amplifier into the radio head which
helps OEMs reduce packaging complexity, cost, and mass while providing the
sound quality to satisfy the most serious of listeners. Delphi's integrated
amplifier delivers powerful sound up to 400 watts from 8 channels. Digital
amplifier technology reduces the power dissipation by more than 50 percent
while increasing the audio power by 400 percent.
    Advanced Audio Systems Receivers
Featuring advanced up-integration, Delphi's advanced receivers help
vehicle manufacturers reduce cost, weight and harnessing requirements by
eliminating separate amplifiers. The receivers provide 1 Gigabyte of
storage which equals 30 hours of music or the equivalent to 24 CDs. The
system copies, compresses and stores CD music in non-volatile flash memory,
providing a Virtual CD changer of music. This provides skip-free playback
from memory. It is capable of ripping CDs and allows users to delete tracks
and move on to another selection. The receiver also includes a Bluetooth
interface for hands-free telephone plus (Bluetooth) A2DP streaming audio.
In addition, the receiver has an iPod interface.
    Bluetooth Connectivity
Delphi's Bluetooth interface offers hands-free phone operation and
streaming audio integrated into the radio. Streaming audio uses A2DP
standard allowing drivers to listen to music stored on their cell phone or
other Bluetooth enabled device. The radio display is used as the human
interface. It displays the caller ID phone number and features a one-button
answer or redial. The Delphi audio system can eliminate a remote phone
module in the vehicle.
    iPod Interfaces
To provide full control of the iPod from the radio using the radio
controls, users can connect an iPod directly to the Delphi receiver to
provide full control of the iPod from the radio using the radio controls.
The larger radio display shows the song title, artist, album and elapsed
time conveniently displayed on the radio display. This allows the user to
conceal the iPod, reducing the chance of damage or theft. Delphi's
receivers are compatible with mini, regular, nano, photo and video iPods.
    HD Radio Head Units
Delphi is also demonstrating HD radio taking AM and FM into the digital
realm to provide superior sound quality and new data services. The receiver
provides consumers with more entertainment options without a subscription
through multi-casting or two channels broadcasting from the same station.
More than 2,800 stations expect to broadcast in HD by 2008. HD radio can be
added to an existing digital tuner using Delphi's unique algorithms which
helps to reduce development times and provides new data services such as
song and artist displays plus weather and traffic alerts. The Delphi radio
provides storage and playback allowing for time-shifting of audio content.
    Advanced Rear-Seat Entertainment
Delphi rear-seat entertainment system with DVD integrated into the
radio head unit showcases the company's system integration expertise. The
system features two 8-inch head rest displays with on-screen independent
graphics and controls. The system at CES uses a DVD and iPod for video
sources with a total of six video sources that can be used. The on-screen
user interface eliminates the need to package a control panel.
The Delphi Mobile TV World Tuner provides the highest quality
performance available for worldwide TV reception in vehicles. Delphi's
Mobile TV World Tuner receives both analog and digital TV signals and
automatically switches from analog to digital and back to receive the
signal broadcast in the area. It receives and decodes signals for DVB-T and
ISDP-T digital signals and PAL, SECAM and NTSC analog signals. Delphi
merged its unique expertise reception systems capabilities and mobile TV
tuner expertise to develop a platform that integrates a variety of TV
standards for all of the various global markets.

    FORWARD-LOOKING STATEMENT
This press release, as well as other statements made by Delphi may
contain forward-looking statements within the "safe harbor" provisions of
the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, that reflect, when
made, the company's current views with respect to current events and
financial performance. Such forward-looking statements are and will be, as
the case may be, subject to many risks, uncertainties and factors relating
to the company's operations and business environment which may cause the
actual results of the company to be materially different from any future
results, express or implied, by such forward-looking statements. Factors
that could cause actual results to differ materially from these
forward-looking statements include, but are not limited to, the following:
the ability of the company to continue as a going concern; the ability of
the company to operate pursuant to the terms of the debtor-in-possession
("DIP") financing facility; the company's ability to obtain court approval
with respect to motions in the chapter 11 proceeding prosecuted by it from
time to time; the ability of the company to develop, prosecute, confirm and
consummate one or more plans of reorganization with respect to the Chapter
11 cases; risks associated with third parties seeking and obtaining court
approval to terminate or shorten the exclusivity period for the company to
propose and confirm one or more plans of reorganization, for the
appointment of a chapter 11 trustee or to convert the cases to chapter 7
cases; the ability of the company to obtain and maintain normal terms with
vendors and service providers; the company's ability to maintain contracts
that are critical to its operations; the potential adverse impact of the
Chapter 11 cases on the company's liquidity or results of operations; the
ability of the company to execute its business plans, including the
transformation plan described in the Company's March 31, 2006 press
release, and to do so in a timely fashion; the ability of the company to
attract, motivate and/or retain key executives and associates; the ability
of the company to avoid or continue to operate during a strike, or partial
work stoppage or slow down by any of its unionized employees; and the
ability of the company to attract and retain customers. Other risk factors
are listed from time to time in the company's United States Securities and
Exchange Commission reports, including, but not limited to the Annual
Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2005. Delphi disclaims
any intention or obligation to update or revise any forward-looking
statements, whether as a result of new information, future events and/or
otherwise. Similarly, these and other factors, including the terms of any
reorganization plan ultimately confirmed, can affect the value of the
company's various pre-petition liabilities, common stock and/or other
equity securities. Additionally, no assurance can be given as to what
values, if any, will be ascribed in the bankruptcy proceedings to each of
these constituencies. A plan of reorganization could result in holders of
Delphi's common stock receiving no distribution on account of their
interest and cancellation of their interests. Under certain conditions
specified in the Bankruptcy Code, a plan of reorganization may be confirmed
notwithstanding its rejection by an impaired class of creditors or equity
holders and notwithstanding the fact that equity holders do not receive or
retain property on account of their equity interests under the plan. In
light of the foregoing and as stated in its October 8, 2005, press release
announcing the filing of its Chapter 11 reorganization cases, the company
considers the value of the common stock to be highly speculative and
cautions equity holders that the stock may ultimately be determined to have
no value. Accordingly, the company urges that appropriate caution be
exercised with respect to existing and future investments in Delphi's
common stock or other equity interests or any claims relating to pre-
petition liabilities.
