Inprise Corporation (Nasdaq: INPR) today announced that, as expected, both its
internal systems, as well as its tested product lines, have successfully
transferred to the new year with no technical problems or disruptions of
service.

As part of its Y2K preparation, Inprise conducted extensive testing of its
internal systems and performed a number of upgrades to internal applications,
including: customer support systems, hardware, telecommunications and
financial applications. In addition, extensive Y2K readiness testing was
conducted across all Inprise product lines to ensure customers could continue
to develop and deploy mission critical applications into the new century.

concentrated effort by the Inprise IT staff, customer support team, financial
