VIENNA, Va., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- GRC International (NYSE: GRH) today
announced that Robert E. "Rick" Larned has joined the company as Senior Vice
President and Director of the Decision Technologies Division (DTD). In this
position, Mr. Larned will have operational responsibility for the performance,
health and welfare, and growth of the business of DTD.
Mr. Larned comes to GRCI after a highly successful, 30-year career in the
U.S. Air Force where he achieved the rank of Brigadier General. From November
1996 until joining GRCI, he served as the Director of Imagery Systems
Acquisition and Operations at the National Reconnaissance Office, where he was
responsible for acquiring and operating national space systems, and directing
their activities.
In previous assignments, Mr. Larned served as the Director of Space
Programs in the Office of Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for
Acquisition; commanded the 341st missile wing; served as the Deputy Director
of Operations for Space Command; Vice Commander of the 50th Space Wing; and
Vice Director of the Office of Special Projects. Mr. Larned co-authored the
Air Force's Innovation Task Force concept for information warfare, and he
wrote the first congressional budget justification book for the new Defense
Reconnaissance Support Program.
Mr. Larned received his BS in electrical engineering from the University
of Washington and his masters in business administration from the University
of Southern California. While in the Air Force, he attended the Industrial
College of the Armed Forces, Air Command and Staff College, and Squadron
Officer School.
In announcing Mr. Larned's addition to his management team, Dr. Gary
