Digital 5 is the First Platform That Can Translate Premium Video Content
Through Digital Transmission Content Protection Over IP (DTCP-IP) Link
                            Protection Technology

    LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CES 2005 -- Digital 5, Inc., a leading
software provider enabling streaming of multimedia content throughout the
connected home, today announced that its implementation of DTCP-IP for secure
access of protected content will be demonstrated today during the Intel
keynote speech at the International CES 2005. Digital 5 has collaborated with
Intel and Linksys on the development of a Digital Media Adapter (DMA) to
distribute protected premium content from the PC to other devices on the home
network.
Working with Intel to deliver this implementation of DTCP-IP streaming
enhances the Digital 5 middleware offering and provides customers the ability
to build products that can share protected premium content from providers.
Digital 5's enabled DTCP-IP platform offers consumers greater flexibility in
accessing and distributing content within a networked home environment.
Digital 5 software enables subscribers of these services to download a movie
onto their PC and securely distribute it to a variety of devices around the
home for viewing.
Digital 5 offers streaming technology that enables consumers to securely
stream premium content, and has integrated DTCP-IP as part of the Digital 5
proprietary security framework technology. The Digital 5 security framework is
a platform which supports standard DRM schemes such as DTCP-IP and other
premium content providers DRM schemes.
"Intel is pleased to be working with Digital 5 to implement the ability to
transfer premium video content over Digital Transmission Content Protection
over IP (DTCP-IP) link protection technology. DTCP-IP-enabled platforms have
greater flexibility in accessing and distributing content within a networked
home environment," said Bill Leszinske, director of digital home marketing and
planning, Intel's Desktop Platforms Group.
"Access to premium movies throughout the home is extremely exciting to
consumers," says Mike Harris, president, Digital 5. "Implementation of DTCP-IP
ensures that our platform delivers secure high-quality innovative technology,
while making premium content readily available securely across many devices."
