- Company's CableCARD successfully operating with digital cable-ready
televisions from multiple consumer electronics manufacturers -
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CES 2005 -- Following the
successful launch of its CableCARD(TM) product in 2004, Scientific-Atlanta has
announced that its plug-in card is delivering entertainment and information
services to consumers using digital cable-ready televisions from several
consumer electronics manufactures, including Panasonic.

increasing demand for digital televisions from our customers," said Andrew

television models, of which 11 are CableCARD compatible. The successful and
rapid completion of compatibility and performance testing of the Scientific-
Atlanta CableCARD for use with our digital cable-ready televisions is

The Cable Labs qualified Scientific-Atlanta CableCARD (Version 1.48 OS)
will be demonstrated January 6-9, 2005 at the company's booth at the 2005 CES
show in Las Vegas (South Hall, Booth 31754), in the Panasonic booth, as well
as in other cable-ready television manufacturers' booths.
