editor of two editions of Samir Husni's Guide to New Consumer Magazines.
As editor-at-large, Robert Love will be charged with helping to further

writers and also developing new talent. Love most recently spent five years
as managing editor of Rolling Stone, the magazine's top editorial position.
During his leadership, Rolling Stone won the American Society of Magazine
Editors (AMSE) National Magazine Awards for General Excellence and Reporting
(both in 1998) and Feature Writing (2001), and won an additional 14 ASME

Prior to his two-decade career at Wenner Media, Love was a staff editor at
New York magazine. He is currently an adjunct professor at Columbia
University's Graduate School of Journalism and was the editor of two recently

(Bullfinch, 2002).
James Kaminsky, editorial director of Playboy magazine, said: "As Playboy
enters its 50th year as the best-selling monthly men's magazine in the United
States, we are dedicated to continuing the tradition of editorial excellence
and finding new ways to evolve the magazine's mix for a new generation of
readers. Both Steve and Bob have unique skills that will enable them to make
meaningful contributions to the future of Playboy. We are excited to welcome
them on board in these leadership roles."
