LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SLS International
(OTC Bulletin Board: SITI) announced today the release of the new
state-of-the-art HT2400 5.1 surround sound system at CES 2005 (LVCC SO 1 Booth
#20116). The HT2400 system incorporates two of the Company's new HT28RT (a
floor standing version of the popular HT28R bookshelf speaker), one HT28R-C
(horizontally oriented center channel), two HT8Rs as rear channels and two
PSS12 12", powered sub woofers. The HT2400 is perfectly matched for use in
home theater and listening rooms alike. The company's planar ribbon driver
technology facilitates crystal clear articulation and results in extremely
realistic imaging.
"Delivery of high quality surround sound audio for critical listening
environments is of paramount interest to both audio professionals and
audiophiles," says Jeff Lowry, director of marketing for SLS Loudspeakers.
"The HT2400 system gives the discerning listener a new, higher level, surround
sound experience offering the clarity and impact expected from SLS. With an
MSRP at $9,395 the system offers a substantial discount from the collective
costs of the individual components, addressing the needs of a wider audience
interested in only the best sonic reproduction."
HT2400 System includes the following speakers:
The HT28RT is a dual-woofer, tower version of the HT28R and is the perfect
selection for a floor-standing, high-fidelity speaker solution expressed
through two 8" woofers and a PRD500 Ribbon Driver. The additional enclosure
volume, placement of the woofers and port facilitate a lower, overall
frequency response that delivers the legendary definition and upper-end
clarity of the HT28R coupled with one of the industry's roundest and warmest
lower registers. Also well suited for recording studios and commercial sound,
the HT28RT is the perfect Left-Right system for advanced home theater
installations delivering an accurate frequency response of 30 to 40,000 Hz
with a power handling capacity of 250 watts RMS.
The HT28R-C is a horizontal version of the HT28R and is used as the center
channel speaker in the HT2400 Series. The double 8" woofers combined with a
signature SLS PRD500 ribbon high frequency driver provide an extremely flat
frequency response of 52 to 40,000 Hz for full range high definition sound.
The HT28R-C is well suited for a recording studio, commercial sound or larger
home theatre installations, delivering a full 200 Watts RMS.
The HT8R is designed after the highly praised S8R world-class studio
reference monitor. The single 8" polycone woofer with integral phase plug
coupled with the signature SLS high-output PRD500 5" Ribbon Driver provides
extremely flat frequency response from 44 to 40,000 Hz for full range high
definition sound. While ideal for 2-channel or full-surround home theatre
listening, the HT8R handles the left and right surround positions for the
HT2400 system delivering a full 125 Watts RMS to envelop the listener in the
sound field.
The PSS12 powered Subwoofer provides the ground shaking bass that lets the
listener experience a visceral response to a modern sound track, thereby
completing the home theater environment. Powered by an integral 300-watt
amplifier, the 12" subwoofer, rated at 200 Watts RMS, delivers a very smooth
and flat response of 28 to 150 Hz. Complete with a selectable and defeatable
crossover, low and high level inputs, and feed through connections, the PSS12
produces very warm and musical low frequencies, suitable for studio reference
and two-channel critical listening as well.
All cabinets in the HT2400 system come in Blonde Oak, Red Oak, Black Oak
to fit any decor.
