RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
announces the following promotions.
Effective Nov. 1, 2003:
Richmond Office
Sandra L. Tormoen was named assistant vice president with responsibilities
for the automation and library divisions of the Research Department. Tormoen
joined the Bank's Research Department as an automation analyst in 1993. After
several assignments, she became a senior manager in 2000. Tormoen received a
bachelor of science degree in math and psychology from the University of
Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., in 1977 and a math teaching certificate from
James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., in 1979.
Effective Oct 1, 2003:
Charlotte Office
Adam S. Pilsbury was named assistant vice president with responsibilities
in the Banking Supervision and Regulation Department. Pilsbury joined the Bank
as an examiner in the Banking Supervision and Regulation Department in 1989.
He had various assignments in Richmond and in the Charlotte Office before
becoming assistant resource coordinator for Charlotte's Large Commercial
Banking Organizations function in 2003. Pilsbury received a bachelor of
science degree in economics and political science from Cornell College in Mt.
Vernon, Iowa in 1986.

Federal Reserve System. The Richmond Fed serves the Fifth Federal Reserve
District, which encompasses the District of Columbia, Maryland, North
