    NEW YORK, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Exalead(R), a global provider of
search software for business and the Web, today announced its exalead
one:search(TM) technology is being used in Worldsat's popular DDream
set-top box that lets consumers access and view content from personal
computers on their televisions.
The Exalead-equipped DDream system will be demonstrated publicly for
the first time at the Consumer Electronics Show, now underway in Las Vegas,
at the AMD booth (location: South 3 30368, CentralPlaza CP23).
"Exalead's innovative search software gives users a powerful, yet
intuitive navigation experience on the desktop," said Simon Haddad,
president of Worldsat. "The flexibility of Exalead's search technology
paired with its simplicity makes it a natural choice for use in the digital
living room. Our goal is to make the bridge between one's TV and PC an
experience that can be enjoyed by all consumers, no matter their technology
knowledge or skill level."
Exalead's technology is well suited for DDream as it recognizes a wide
range of multimedia file formats, from video to audio and images. In
addition, Exalead's patented Search By Serendipity(R) technology paves the
way for an easier, less frustrating, more natural search experience.
Exalead automatically classifies information by type; for example by music
category or artist, so that users can quickly browse and find relevant
information in just a few clicks. The exalead one:search technology will
also offer auto completion to more quickly find information in the next
versions.
"We are pleased to provide our search technology on an OEM basis to
Worldsat so it can provide its customers a unified access point to
information on their PCs, regardless of format," said Francois Bourdoncle,
Exalead's president and chief executive officer. "For the last eight years,
we've invested significant resources in our unified search technology with
the goal of making the Exalead user interface the most intuitive design on
the planet."
