RSA Keon Certificate Server Now Offers OCSP Access to ValiCert

BEDFORD, Mass. and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- In
conjunction with next week's RSA Conference 2000,
RSA Security Inc. (Nasdaq: RSAS) and ValiCert, Inc. today announced they have
successfully completed Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP)
interoperability testing between ValiCert Validation Authority products and
services and RSA Keon(TM) Certificate Server software. As a result,
organizations using RSA Keon Certificate Server software in conjunction with
any of ValiCert's Validation Authority solutions can now achieve real-time
certificate validation through OCSP to achieve a higher level of trust in
their e-business transactions and more secure communications.
Through this agreement, organizations using the RSA Keon Certificate
Server will be able to check the validity of any digital certificate, whether
issued natively in-house or by any other certificate authority, using OCSP in
addition to traditional certificate revocation lists (CRL). Through ValiCert's
network of relationships with leading certificate authorities and PKI vendors,
the parties intend that RSA Security customers will be able to utilize
multiple certificate revocation sources available on the Internet from a
variety of PKI sources.

the world, and vice versa, enabling them to create a bridge from RSA Keon to
other PKI environments.
