Enhanced Inventory Allocation and Delivery Scheduling Available In Adonix X3 Software

    PITTSBURGH, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Adonix X3 enterprise information
management software now has a variety of scheduling and inventory allocation
capabilities not usually found in a package specifically designed for small to
mid-sized manufacturers and distributors.
"Companies are continuously looking for ways to schedule deliveries to
meet customer requirements while minimizing inventory," said Bill Owens,
indirect channel manager at Adonix. "Adonix X3 has the flexibility to
accommodate a variety of real-time and delayed inventory allocation methods to
ensure that they have just the stock they need when they need to ship it."
Adonix X3 has new inventory management capabilities designed to improve
the efficiency of distributors and manufacturers with complex
multiple-warehouse operations. For example, the software:

-- Provides a flexible backorder processing routine that takes into
account variables such as customer priority, required date, and order
       date to allocate inventory.
-- Instantly checks product availability and allocates inventory for
immediate delivery or pickup of orders taken, for example, by a
distributor's telephone or counter sales personnel.
-- Accommodates complex delivery scheduling involving multiple warehouses
and destinations on the same order.
-- Automatically creates purchase orders from sales orders to streamline
direct shipment from a plant or vendor, for example, in case of
unusually large orders or requests for non-stocked items.

Adonix X3 is an all-new, highly functional system of integrated business
applications with an advanced technical foundation. It is engineered to be
easier to install and maintain, easier to use, and easier to customize and
extend than traditional systems, thereby saving time, lowering costs and
reducing implementation risks. The software is particularly suited for
discrete and process manufacturers, distributors, and financial service
companies. It fits make-to-order, assemble-to-order, make-to-stock and batch
manufacturing environments and accommodates commercial and not-for-profit
accounting methods.
To extend its product offering and geographical presence, Adonix
(http://www.adonix.com) merged in 1997 with Prodstar, one of the top European vendors
of manufacturing systems, and in 1998 with the former GSI Transcomm, the
internationally known American vendor of TOLAS distribution and financial
applications. In 1999, the company reported revenues of more than
$50 million, while supporting more than 4,000 customers worldwide.
