NEWTON, Iowa, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Maytag Corporation
(NYSE: MYG) will announce fourth quarter 2003 sales and earnings on Thursday,
Jan. 29, at approximately 6:00 a.m. CT. The corporation has scheduled a
conference call to discuss its performance with members of the financial
community. During the call, Maytag's CEO Ralph F. Hake and CFO George Moore
will comment on various aspects of the results and answer questions.

The conference call will be at 8:30 a.m. CT on Thursday, Jan. 29. Persons
