MEMPHIS, Tenn., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomas M. Garrott, chairman of the
board of National Commerce Bancorporation (Nasdaq: NCBC), announced that at
today's regular meeting of the board of directors, the corporation declared a
quarterly cash dividend of $.13 per share.  The dividend is payable April 2,
2001, to shareholders of record March 9, 2001.
