Kirke Snyder to Lead FTI Consulting's New Electronic Evidence Practice

Addition of Electronic Data Management Expertise Delivers Total Litigation
                                   Strategy

ANNAPOLIS, Md., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FTI Consulting, Inc.
(NYSE: FCN), the premier national provider of strategic and litigation-related
consulting services, today announced H. Kirke Snyder has been appointed
Managing Director of its new Electronic Evidence Practice. With over 15 years
of experience consulting with attorneys regarding litigation data management,
and a published author on the subject of e-mail data mining, Snyder is
recognized in the legal profession as a leading expert in this area. In
addition to a Juris Doctor degree, he has also earned a masters degree in
legal administration.
Snyder joins FTI from Deloitte & Touche, where he has consulted with
clients on environmental business insurance claims, toxic tort litigation,
product liability class actions, intellectual property disputes, and regulated
industry investigations. Snyder is also a professor of law and ethics at
Regis University in Denver, Colo.
"The new Electronic Evidence Practice will complement and support our
litigation service offerings," said Stewart Kahn, FTI's President and Chief
Operating Officer. "Over half of all business documents are in electronic
form. Forensic investigations and litigation require corporations to produce
large volumes of electronic data including e-mail, voice mail, shared server
files and databases. We will now have the ability to assist clients in
efficiently recovering, searching, sorting and sifting large amounts of data.
Bringing electronic evidence expertise to our clients, along with our
state-of-the-art trial support and litigation data management service offering
and our forensic accounting skills, will enhance our clients' abilities to
successfully pursue their total litigation strategy."
FTI also announced that John T. Myers, formally a practice leader with
Deloitte & Touche, has also joined the Electronic Evidence Practice as the
Director of the Houston technology lab. His 15-plus years experience in
litigation support document management will provide senior leadership and
technical expertise. John has vast experience assisting clients with document
imaging, document repositories and data mining.
