Tortorici Named The Conference Board's Director, Communications

    NEW YORK, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Frank Tortorici was today named
Director, Communications, of The Conference Board, the global business
research and membership organization.

    Tortorici joined The Conference Board in 1991 as Media Relations
Manager and was subsequently promoted to Associate Director,
Communications.

    In his new capacity, he will be responsible for managing communications
and PR activities for The Conference Board's worldwide economics and
management research programs.

    Prior to joining The Conference Board, Tortorici worked for several
major PR agencies, including Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, where he
supervised the Ernst & Young and Ayer Advertising accounts. While at Robert
Marston Corporate Communications, he participated in media relations for
John Hancock, Wang Laboratories and other business-to-business accounts.
Tortorici was also an account executive at Lobsenz-Stevens, Inc., where he
began his PR career, managing campaigns for RE/MAX International, American
International Group, Kenco/Sparkomatic, and major law firms. He also worked
as a journalist for several years, writing mostly about the music business.

    He has a B.A. in journalism from New York University, where he
graduated cum laude, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
