RSA Press to Address Issues Related to Computer Security
SAN JOSE, Calif., RSA CONFERENCE 2000, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- RSA
Security Inc. (Nasdaq: RSAS), the most trusted name in e-security, and Osborne
Media Group, a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies specializing in
information technology books, today launched RSA Press. This new imprint will
cover computer security issues as they relate to end users, executives and
information technology professionals, providing readers with up-to-date and
authoritative e-security information.
The first book published in the RSA Press series is "Defending Your
Digital Assets Against Hackers, Crackers, Spies and Thieves", authored by
Randall K. Nichols, Daniel J. Ryan and Julie J.C.H. Ryan. This important new
work is written for security managers and policy makers, and discusses the
growing vulnerabilities due to interconnectivity and the importance of
protecting digital information. It also offers detailed explanations of how
and why attacks occur and gives advice on how to prevent future attacks,
detect attacks in progress, and quickly recover business operations. The book
is available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com and other computer book retailers
nationwide.
"We are excited to unveil RSA Press, and look forward to producing a
series of books that will help consumers and enterprises protect their digital
assets," said Scott Schnell, senior vice president of marketing at RSA
Security. "RSA Security is committed to expanding the e-security knowledge
base, and our partnership with Computing McGraw-Hill provides us with an ideal
