eBusiness Security Provider Announces Relationships with VeriSign, Entrust,
CyberTrust, Xcert and Baltimore Technologies

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- LockStar, Inc., a venture-backed
company focusing on integrated security solutions for the eBusiness market,
today announced that it has formed relationships with five of the market's top
PKI vendors to ensure interoperability with the upcoming LockStar solution to
PKI-enable mainframes. Leading industry analysts estimate that more than
75% of today's mission critical data still resides on mainframes. LockStar is
the industry's only vendor focused on bringing PKI functionality to mainframe
back-end systems and access control facilities.
As reported recently by International Data Corporation (IDC), worldwide
total PKI revenues are expected to grow from a base $122.7 million in 1998, to
$1.3 billion in 2003. "We believe this is an exciting time to be in this

communications and transactions over the Internet and private networks.
Entrust Technologies Inc. -- LockStar is now a member of the Entrust
Alliance Developer Program, and is working toward Entrust-Ready Gold Branding,
which is the highest level of interoperability offered to partners. Entrust
is the global leader in providing products and services that allow eBusinesses
to manage trusted, secure electronic transactions and communications over
today's advanced networks, including the Internet, extranets and intranets.
