First Internet Security Company to Offer Transactional Entitlement
Capabilities
NEW YORK, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Indigo Security Technologies, an
Internet security company providing next generation authorization for e-
commerce, officially announced today the launch of the company at the RSA 2000
Show in San Jose.
Indigo meets the challenges of today's e-business landscape by providing a
solution known as "e-titlement" -- a complete enterprise entitlement
management answer that enables and empowers businesses in the Internet
economy.
"We like to say that Indigo is about enabling, not inhibiting," says John
Weinschenk, Indigo Security Technologies CEO. "We want our customers to see
security in a different way. Rather than viewing it as a necessary evil,
those companies that employ Indigo's technology have the vision to position
their businesses in preparation for the next generation of e-commerce. With
our products, companies can evolve and grow right along with the e-services
economy, without having to play catch-up from investing in other entitlements
solutions that are already outgrown and outdated."
The Indigo Advantage
Indigo's solutions eclipse the competition in many ways. First and
foremost, Indigo is the only security company to offer transactional
entitlement. The most advanced form of application entitlement, it provides
permission checking on an individual and dynamic, real-time basis. Knowing in
real-time who is accessing what parts of the enterprise information resources
provides companies with their next competitive advantage in doing business on
the Internet.
Second, Indigo's products are based on cutting edge technologies such as
Java and Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), rather than older, outdated
technologies.
Third, Indigo's sophisticated spectrum of products are complementary to,
and work in conjunction with, public key infrastructures (PKI), making a
company's PKI investment pay off for the rest of its business applications.
However, a company need not have a PKI in order to implement Indigo's
solutions. The Indigo product will support any trusted third party
authentication vehicle that the corporate infrastructure may offer.
In addition, Indigo's Global Entitlement Solutions(TM) are the first in
the industry to allow for effective management and control of all aspects of
user authorization. The Indigo Enterprise Entitlement System is capable of
effectively managing coarse-grained, fine-grained and transactional
entitlements on an enterprise-wide basis. It spans the entire network
infrastructure, providing applications with a single solution for all
development platforms, including the Intranet, Internet, client-server, legacy
mainframe and point-to-point dial-up access through any network access server
or VPN.
Finally, Indigo's corps of engineers and technologists hail from the
financial services industry, where security and authentication are at the very
nucleus of all business transactions and applications.
The New Business Landscape
Over the last several years, the Internet has enabled companies to become
highly integrated, ever-increasing the breadth and depth of electronic
interaction among customers, suppliers, partners and employees. The challenge
now is to define, monitor and maintain privileges, logins and access rights to
information. With its sophisticated spectrum of products, Indigo offers the
entitlement solution for the next generation of e-commerce.
