PC Guardian Releases Powerful New Email Encryption Software

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Today at the RSA 2000
Conference, PC Guardian announced the commercial release of Encryption Plus(R)
for Email. A software plug-in for all versions of Microsoft(R) Outlook and
Lotus(R) Notes 4.5 or higher, Encryption Plus(R) for Email provides automatic
192-bit encryption of messages and attachments.
"What's important about this product is that email recipients do not need
special software to decrypt and read messages or attachments," says Noah
Groth, PC Guardian President. He does add that recipients need to be working
in a Windows operating environment.
Also, Encryption Plus(R) for Email was designed for easy enterprise-wide
installation with zero administration. "Employees can learn to use it in
5 minutes, administrators can decrypt any message if necessary, and companies
do not need to add infrastructure to deploy Encryption Plus(R) for Email,"
says Groth.
Encryption Plus(R) for Email provides 192-bit encryption built around PC
Guardian's award-winning Encryption Plus(R) software "engine" and the Blowfish
algorithm designed by one of the world's leading cryptographers, Bruce
Schneier.
The email product is the newest member of PC Guardian's award-winning
Encryption Plus(R) line, which includes Encryption Plus(R) for Hard Drives,
Encryption Plus(R) Secure Export, and Encryption Plus(R) for Folders. With
purchase orders from Fortune 500 firms already in hand for the email product,
PC Guardian is gearing up for a huge increase in distribution of all of its
encryption software tools.
Founded in 1984 and based in San Rafael, California, PC Guardian provides
computer anti-theft and information security solutions to businesses. There
are approximately 500,000 licensed users of PC Guardian's Encryption Plus(R)
software.
