TD Waterhouse USA Launches New 'TradeCentral' Platform for the Active Trader

Active Traders Have Come to the Right Place With Highly Customizable
Interface, Ability to Trade From Any Screen and Ease of Use

NEW YORK, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- TD Waterhouse USA today announced the
launch of TD Waterhouse TradeCentral, a new active trader platform that
enables traders to create custom workstations within minutes of opening an
account. Available at http://www.tradecentral.com, TradeCentral offers a flat
$9.95 commission for investors who execute 30 or more trades in a 90-day
rolling period.
"As the active trader market continues to grow, we're pleased to offer
this new platform to such an important segment of our customer base," said
Janet Hawkins, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for TD
Waterhouse USA. "TradeCentral demonstrates, once again, our commitment to the
rapidly evolving active trader marketplace."
TradeCentral is the cornerstone of the firm's efforts to continue to cater
directly to the active trader. With a new platform, low pricing and
exceptional customer service, TD Waterhouse is committed to providing active
traders with the tools, customization and ease of use they demand.
"Our research found that the active trader's greatest need was for a
highly personalized trading platform that they can create as their own
customized trading place," Hawkins continued. "With TradeCentral, active
traders can quickly and easily streamline views to fit their individual
trading strategies, and trade from virtually every streaming tool."
TradeCentral gives active traders full command over how data is presented
and how trades are executed. With TradeCentral, active retail traders can
design and save multiple personalized views of the tools they need to identify
market opportunities. Tools such as streaming, real-time quotes and
information, point-and-click order entry, intraday account profit/loss data,
Nasdaq Level II, Dow Jones news, and direct access to market makers and ECNs
can be arranged in any fashion the user desires and modified to quickly
address changes in the user's portfolio or the market.
The launch of TradeCentral is supported with an advertising campaign
debuting today that emphasizes the platform's customizable and easy to use
interface and the ability to meet the advanced demands of the active trader.
The ads will appear nationally in business and personal finance media at
television, print and online outlets such as CNBC, Investor's Business Daily
and CBSMarketwatch.com, and other business and personal finance media outlets.
The TradeCentral advertising campaign is completely separate from TD
Waterhouse's national ad campaign featuring Sam Waterston, which was announced
in October 2004 and highlights the company's friendly, professional service
and extensive third-party research for investors. TD Waterhouse created both
advertising campaigns in partnership with Cossette Post Communications in New
York.
