FOSE 2005, Government's Premier Technology Exhibition and Conference, Kicks Off Uncle Sam's Buying Spree

Over 25,000 InfoTech Professionals Attend FOSE to Gear Up Government

WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- According to leading market analyst
Input Inc., the federal government will increase its spending on information
technology in 2005 for the eleventh consecutive year in a row. FOSE 2005,
being held on April 5-7 at the Washington DC Convention Center, marks its 29th
year serving the government technology community with high tech exhibits from
nearly 600 companies, industry keynotes, and panoply of training
opportunities.
"The government market continues its robust growth. Outsourcing, homeland
security, and the nation's global war on terrorism are driving a significant
increase in spending. For that reason, the Department of Defense and the
Department of Homeland Security alone will be spending in excess of $32
billion this year on information technology," commented Lorenz Hassenstein,
Vice President, PostNewsweek Tech Media. "FOSE 2005 kicks off the buying
season for the 25,000 government IT and acquisition professionals who plan
their major buys for the year."
FOSE 2005 exhibitors will demonstrate technology to support initiatives
such as e-government, mobile technologies, data center storage, enterprise
software licensing, and communications. Industry leaders from Adobe to
Microsoft and Accenture to Lockheed Martin as well as smaller firms with
leading edge technology will be on hand. Of the 600 exhibiting companies,
FOSE 2005 is expected to draw over 100 firms who are new entrants to the
market. International pavilions will showcase companies from Australia, Korea
and Northern Ireland.
FOSE 2005 will take place at the Washington DC Convention Center on
Tuesday-Thursday, April 5-7, 2005. Registration is free for government
professionals and is available online at http://www.fose.com.
