Momentum Builds as Registration Increases for the Largest Systems Design Event
in North America
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CMP Media LLC today
announced the 2005 program highlights for the Embedded Systems Conference San
Francisco. The 17th annual event takes place March 6-10 at the Moscone Center.
As the largest systems design event in North America, ESC San Francisco is one
of the few places that brings all players in the electronics systems design
industry together with the newest technologies.

technical program are seven design seminars that will provide in-depth,

This one-day program addresses the needs of engineers working with analog
components such as amplifiers, data converters, power management devices, and
high-speed interface components. It provides insight into the role of played
by analog, mixed-signal and power technology in a world increasingly dominated
by digital engineering.
DSP Performance, March 7 -- Program Chair, Stephen Ohr, Editorial Director
and Editor-in-Chief, Planet Analog.
This one-day program updates designers on DSP architectural trends and
software design issues. Speakers will link DSP concepts such as precision,
clock rates and code space to the specific requirements of next-generation
high-speed data communications, wireless signal processing and consumer
electronic systems. There will also be an
in-depth panel discussion, The Future of Processors for Signal Processing
Applications, moderated by Jeff Bier, General Manager, Berkeley Design

Easy Paths to Silicon, March 7, 8 -- Program Chair, Richard Goering,

Participants have two full days of content to choose from that includes
ways to implement applications or algorithms in hardware that don't involve a
traditional ASIC flow. Aimed at systems and software engineers, it will
provide an introduction to FPGAs, configurable array architectures, and

Consumer Systems, March 8, 9 -- Program Chair, Rick Merritt,

This two-day program has been developed to address the historic shift from
analog to digital music and video that is giving rise to a new generation of

capable of streaming and storing digital media. The seminar explores design
issues in analog, DSP, compression, display and other technologies that are
the key enablers for this sector.
Wireless Networking, March 9, 10 -- Program Chair, Patrick Mannion,

moderate the panel discussion, The Future of Wireless Networking, March 10,

The two-day program focuses on resolving the problems facing wireless
