2008 North American International Auto Show Public Days Opens With Amazing Exhibits, Attractions, Production and Concept Vehicles

DETROIT, MI UNITED STATES
    DETROIT, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2008 North American International
Auto Show (NAIAS) opened to the public today with jaw-dropping exhibits,
amazing production and concept vehicles and exciting, fun-filled
attractions.

    "From car enthusiasts to kids wanting to see their first concept car,
the NAIAS has something for everyone," said Carl Galeana, senior
co-chairman of the NAIAS 2008. "NAIAS 2008 is sure to excite and amaze our
Public Days attendees with spectacular displays, cutting-edge production
vehicles along with futuristic concepts. Don't miss it for the world!"

    Public Days for NAIAS 2008 are Saturday, Jan. 19 through Saturday, Jan.
26 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. There
is no admittance one hour prior to show closing. Tickets for Public Days
are $12 (USD) for adults; $6 (USD) for senior citizens (65 and older) and
children aged 7-12 (must be purchased on site). Children six and under are
free with their parent.

    To help alleviate delays at on-site ticket booths, eTickets are
available for convenient online purchase at http://www.naias.com. A voucher is
provided with every eTicket order and can be used to redeem show tickets at
the eTicket window located at the Oakland entrance of Cobo Center. Tickets
also are available through Ticketmaster at http://www.ticketmaster.com, or by
calling 248-645-6666.

    Click and Park, found online at http://www.ClickandPark.com, provides access
to select Olympia, Sterling, Miller Parking and AMPCO parking lots up to 24
hours before each show day and offers personalized directions and driving
routes to each list. As each route reaches its anticipated capacity,
alternate routes are sent via email to efficiently disperse the traffic
going to Cobo Center. Availability of parking spaces at each lot can be
found at http://www.ClickandPark.com.

    Shuttle services will be available to NAIAS Public Days attendees at
the Detroit Zoo and The Henry Ford. Information can be found online at the
auto show's official public Web site, http://www.naias.com, in the Travel and
Transportation sections. Show attendees can park at the Detroit Zoo or The
Henry Ford for $5 and travel on a luxury motor coach for $5 per person,
children 12 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased on-site at the
Detroit Zoo and The Henry Ford during the days of operation, Jan. 19-21, 26

Main Show Floor: -- Jeep * Exhibit features the ever popular Nintendo(TM) Wii, attendees can even compete against other visitors -- Chrysler * In addition to the amazing vehicles, attendees can channel their inner rock star playing PlayStation's Guitar Hero -- Toyota * Remember your trip to the NAIAS 2008 with a keepsake photo (limit 2 photos per guest) -- Mini * DJs will be on hand throughout public days spinning the latest in dance and house music * Exhibit features an interactive display to design your own Mini -- Ford * PS2 Interactive Driving Simulator * Ford VJ asks questions and posts on plasma screens located in the exhibit Michigan Hall: -- Speed Racer * Check out the Mach 5 featured in the live-action film of the animated classic, "Speed Racer" and see a trailer of the movie due in theaters in May -- State Farm * Strap in and take part in the Racing Simulator, sitting in a real vehicle * Test your driving reflexes while playing interactive video Driving Challenge games -- DUB * See the latest in custom vehicles and vehicle accessories -- College for Creative Studies * Car models done by students will be on display -- NAIAS Food Court * Take a break to enjoy a snack or meal at the Food Court located in Cobo Arena. * There will be a variety of food and beverage choices for the entire family including pizza, nachos, ice cream, hot dogs, deli sandwiches, burritos, gyro sandwiches, Philly cheese sandwiches and a wide array of sodas, juices and adult beverages. * To satisfy that sweet tooth, be sure to enjoy some original Mackinac Island fudge at Ryba's Fudge Shop in Cobo Arena and other locations on the show floor. These tasty stations produce 600 pounds of fudge per day at NAIAS Public Days.
