WILKES-BARRE, Pa., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Enterprises, Inc.
(PEI) (NYSE: PNT) today announced a 30 cent-per-share dividend on its common
stock for the first quarter of 1999. PG Energy Inc., the natural gas
subsidiary of PEI, also declared dividends for the first quarter on the 4.10%
and 5.75% series of its preferred stock. Both the PEI and PG Energy dividends
declared are payable March 15, 1999 to shareholders of record on March 1,
1999.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of PEI's founding. The Corporation
has issued dividends to its investors each quarter since its formation.
The March dividend will coincide with the start of PEI's dividend direct
deposit program. The program allows shareowners to have their dividends
directly deposited into bank accounts they designate. Additional information
