Former Assistant Secretary of Defense Named Chairman of Systems Research and Development

      Arthur L. Money Brings Over Four Decades of Homeland, Government,
          and Commercial Security and Intelligence Expertise to SRD

    LAS VEGAS, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Systems Research and Development (SRD)
today announced that Arthur "Art" L. Money, former Assistant Secretary of
Defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (C3i), has been
elected Chairman of the Board.  Mr. Money has more than 41 years of management
and engineering experience with the defense electronics and intelligence
industry in the design and development of intelligence collection analysis
capabilities and airborne tactical reconnaissance systems.
    "Art's experience within government and the defense industry combined with
his leadership and vision will help SRD realize its full potential in the
rapidly evolving homeland security and government security markets," said John
Slitz, SRD's CEO.  "The appointment of Art is another win for us as we

    Mr. Money currently serves on the boards of a number of US corporations
and is a member of several US government and corporate advisory boards, groups
and panels.  At the Department of Defense, he not only served as Assistant
Secretary of Defense for C3i, but also as Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Prior to the Defense Department, Mr. Money served as Assistant Secretary of
the Air Force for Research, Development and Acquisition (Senate confirmed
appointment), and as CIO for the Air Force.

    Mr. Money was also president of ESL Inc., a subsidiary of TRW, prior to
its consolidation with TRW's Avionics and Surveillance Group, when Mr. Money
became vice president and deputy general manager for the TRW Avionics and
Surveillance Group.  This group, especially ESL, is recognized internationally
for its airborne electronic systems and technologies, including reconnaissance
and intelligence systems and advanced integrated avionics.  Prior to TRW,
Mr. Money spent 10 years with Lockheed Missiles and Space Company.
