(NYSE: EQT) has announced two promotions effective immediately:
* David L. Porges has been promoted to the position of Vice Chairman &
Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration from his role as
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, which he has held
since February 2000. Dave joined Equitable in July 1998.
* Philip P. Conti has been promoted to the position of Vice President,
Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer from his role as Vice President
Finance and Treasurer, which he has held since August 2000. Phil
joined Equitable in January 1996.
