Event To Promote Effective Car Protection Measures
PINELLAS PARK, Fla., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AutoWay Toyota,

anti-vehicular-theft innovation, will host its first annual "Catch A Car
Thief" event on Thursday, January 25, 2007 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The
event will be held in the AutoWay Toyota dealership at 8501 U.S. Highway 19
North and is intended to educate consumers on strategies and tactics to
protect their vehicles from theft, a rising concern in communities across
Florida and the country.
"Florida has the second highest rate of motor vehicle theft in the
nation, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau," said Bobby
Yoxall, General Manager of AutoWay Toyota. "In fact, in 2005, nearly one
out of every 10 vehicles stolen in the U.S. was stolen here in Florida -
and that's a statistic we can work to improve."
The program will include refreshments, entertainment, prizes and
giveaways, including two free LoJack systems. More importantly, it will
also include presentations by experts in theft prevention, law enforcement
and motor vehicle safety. The event is open to all members of the public,
and reservations are suggested.
