LOS ANGELES, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Kid favorite Rosie O' Donnell will
return for a fifth year to host Nickelodeon's 14th Annual Kids' Choice Awards,
joined by an array of stars from the worlds of film, music, sports and
television. The event, which celebrates the power of kids in the new
millennium, will air live from the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, CA, on
Saturday, April 21, from 8-9:30PM ET/PT.

Big Momma's House, Charlie's Angels and The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps
topped the list of kids' favorites, with three nominations each. Big Momma's
House garnered nominations for favorite movie, movie actor (Martin Lawrence)
and song (Lil Bow Wow's "Bounce With Me"); Charlie's Angels received nods for
favorite movie, and movie actresses (Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz); while
The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps drew nominations for favorite movie, movie
actor (Eddie Murphy) and movie actress (Janet Jackson).
"I always have a blast doing the Kids' Choice Awards and this will be the
only awards show I plan to host this year," said O'Donnell. "Kids' Choice is a
great way for me to combine my love for kids and comedy."

Kids will be able to vote both on and off air in a total of 19 categories.
Voting kicks off on February 12 at participating BURGER KING(R) restaurants
nationwide. Kids will also be able to vote for their favorites online at
Nick.com, through balloting in Nick Magazine and by calling a toll-free number
displayed during programming on Nickelodeon.
In addition, kids can log onto the Kids' Choice Awards area on nick.com to
read bios on the nominees and listen to streaming audio of nominees in the
Favorite Voice From An Animated Movie category. Nick.com will also feature a
live chat with Rosie O'Donnell one day prior to the awards show.
In addition to her current role as host and executive producer of "The
Rosie O'Donnell Show," O'Donnell has starred in several hit motion pictures
since her film debut eight years ago in "A League Of Her Own" including "Wide
Awake," "Harriet The Spy," (for which she was awarded a 1997 Kid's Choice
Award for Favorite Movie Actress), "Now and Then," Sleepless In Seattle," The
Flintstones," (O'Donnell's Betty Rubble won her a 1995 Kids' Choice Award for
Favorite Movie Actress), "Exit To Eden," and "Another Stakeout." O'Donnell is
also founder and president of the For All Kids Foundation, an organization
which awards grants to help support the intellectual, social and cultural
development of disadvantaged children throughout the United States.
