New Online Math Program Lets Students Compete and Learn With Kids Around
the Globe
DALLAS, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Voyager Expanded Learning(R) announced
today the launch of VmathLive(TM), the new online math resource in which
students compete against other students in the United States, Australia,
New Zealand, England, Hong Kong and Singapore, while practicing math skills
and preparing for high-stakes tests.
VmathLive provides a blended solution of print and technology that
extends the time students spend learning and practicing essential math
skills. The interactive environment motivates and engages math students,
reinforces the same concepts and skills taught in core math programs and
provides practice in a high-stakes test format.
"Children are literally on the edge of their seats while using
VmathLive. It is wonderful to see them so excited about math," says Ron
Klausner, president of ProQuest Education and Voyager Expanded Learning.
The topics and content in VmathLive are aligned to Voyager's math
intervention system, Vmath(R), and includes several state-specific courses
aligned to high-stakes assessments. VmathLive is the American version of
the online math program known as Mathletics(R), created by Australian
e-learning company 3P Learning.
Current Vmath classrooms will have free access to VmathLive during the
rest of the 2006-2007 school year. VmathLive is also available as a stand-
alone program. As with all Voyager programs, administrators and teachers
using Vmath and VmathLive will be able to access Voyager's Professional
Online Resource Tools (VPORT(TM)) and view student progress data at any
time during the school year.
