Best in business communications to be recognized by chapters in Cincinnati,
Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit and Indianapolis
DETROIT, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The winners of the 2004 Silver Quill
Awards competition -- recognizing the best in business communications in Ohio,
Michigan and Indiana -- were recently announced by Robert Minton, ABC,
director of U.S. District 7 of the International Association of Business
Communicators (IABC) and communications manager of General Motors Cadillac
Division. District 7 Silver Quill winners will be recognized this year by
IABC chapter leaders in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit and
Indianapolis.
IABC communications professionals across the country evaluated nearly 90
entries from business communicators in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana before
selecting these 41 awards in the Silver Quill's Communications Management and
Communications Skills categories. The programs and campaigns receiving awards
of Excellence and Merit in the Communications Management categories were
evaluated largely on their research, planning, implementation and evaluation.

entries that did not receive a total score of at least 5.5 on a 7-point scale.
The top award bestowed in each category was the Award of Excellence and was
chosen from entries scoring a minimum of 6.1 points. Up to two awards of
merit were also possible in each category.
