Security Conference and Exposition
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Paramount Defenses Inc.
(http://www.paramountdefenses.com) today announced that it has been selected to
participate in the RSA(R) Conference 2007 Innovation Station. A limited
number of private companies have been selected by a distinguished panel of
judges comprised of leading venture capital investors, chief security
officers and industry experts, to participate in this very special
opportunity.
The company will showcase the world's first access entitlement
assessment solution, the Gold Finger, at the Innovation Station pavilion on
the expo floor, and compete for the "Most Innovative New Company" title at
the RSA Conference, Feb. 5-9, 2007 at San Francisco's Moscone Center.
The judging panel includes Asheem Chandna of Greylock Partners, Herbert
H. Thompson of Security Innovation, Ted Schlein of Kleiner Perkins Caufield
& Byers, Renee Guttmann-Stark of Time Inc., and Michael Barrett of PayPal.
The Innovation Station "Showdown" will be held on Feb. 6 from 12 noon to
1:50 pm in the Burgundy Room 123 (Moscone North). The judging panel
evaluated each entrant based on the market potential for the company's
products, the significance of the company's technology innovation, the
quality of the management team, and the overall commercial viability of the
company.
The winner will be named the "Most Innovative New Company" at RSA
Conference 2007.
"RSA Conference 2007 Innovation Station program will identify the most
innovative emerging company in the information security industry. Our
judging panel has selected participants based on their product innovation,
promising business model, as well as potential market impact," said Sandra
Toms LaPedis, area vice president and general manager of RSA Conferences.
"Paramount Defenses Inc. was selected based on its ability to not only meet
the outlined criteria, but has also shown the capability to advance the
industry with innovative technology."
Paramount Defenses Inc. is engaged in the development and delivery of
the world's first dedicated platform independent IT security infrastructure
protection solution.
The company is the brainchild of Sanjay Tandon, formerly Program
Manager for Active Directory security at Microsoft Corporation (2001 - 05).
From the White House to the British Houses of Parliament and from Corporate
America to the business corridors of Asia, as the foundation of a Microsoft
Windows Server based IT infrastructure, Active Directory is the foundation
of IT security infrastructures at over 80% of organizations worldwide.
The company also develops select innovative security solutions aimed at
solving pervasive security problems. Gold Finger, its first product, built
on patent pending technology, helps organizations combat excessive access,
one of the leading causes of information security breaches around the
world, by identifying access entitlements conferred upon employees,
administrators, guests, and other stakeholders across the enterprise, at
the touch of a button.
Quoting Tandon, "Gold Finger was designed to significantly simplify and
increase security -- at the touch of a button, you can instantly determine
precisely what any user in the company can do, or how many people in the
company can compromise the CEO's identity, and so on. That's invaluable
information, delivered at the touch of a button."
Access entitlement assessment is an essential information security risk
management capability as it empowers organizations to identify and
eliminate excessive access based vulnerabilities before they can be
exploited to inflict damage.
Paramount Defenses Inc. will unveil the Gold Finger v1, at the RSA
Conference to an audience of over 15,000 attendees at the Innovation
Station pavilion at booth 1338.
