FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Marc Flake has been elected
president of the 2007 board of directors for the Greater Fort Worth Chapter
of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Flake is the Public
Information Officer for Tarrant County.
Other elected officers of the board are Laura Van Hoosier, president-
elect, membership; Chris Smith, vice president, programs; Krista Brown,
treasurer; Nancy Farrar, treasurer-elect; and Joan Hunter, secretary.
Completing the board are directors Lyndsay Nantz; Tom Burke, APR; and
Carol Murray, APR; and assembly delegates Andra Bennett, APR, and Heather
Senter, APR.
Committee chairs are: Amiso George, APR, for accreditation; Stephanie
Mitchell for awards and scholarships; Margaret Ritsch for by laws; Phil
Beckman for community service; Paige Hendricks and Lauren Kwedar for
ethics; Lisa Gail Barnes and Lara Rodriguez for hospitality; Kristin Dyer
for the newsletter; Holly Ellman for nominating; Richie Escovedo for the
Web page; Lisa Orr for professional development; Catherine Carlton for
public relations; Paul Sturiale, APR, for the president's council and
Allyson Cross and Kim Speairs, APR as PRSSA liaisons. The special interest
groups will be headed by: Nancy Farrar and Glenda Thompson (independent
practitioners); Lauren Burkett and Laura Hanna (education); Rhenda Gray
(health); Donna Darovich (masters); and Linda Jacobson (Nu Pros).
The Greater Fort Worth Chapter of PRSA unifies, strengthens and
