Compuware Named 'Diversity-Focused Company' by Corp! Magazine

Corp! Diversity Award Highlights Compuware's Commitment to Delivering
Business Value through Diverse Workforce, Equality

    DETROIT, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Compuware Corporation
(Nasdaq: CPWR) today announced that it received Corp! Magazine's award for
"Diversity-focused Company." Corp! honored Compuware with this award based
on the company's commitment to diversity -- in race, ethnicity and more --
as a business driver.

"Compuware's commitment to diversity is not a stand-alone initiative,
nor is it a special program -- rather, it is just part of what the company
values as an organization," said Edward Deeb, Editor-in-Chief, Corp!
Magazine. "Compuware's commitment to diversity starts at the top of the
organization and permeates throughout the entire company, guiding how it
treats all employees, suppliers and the community. Compuware's Board of
Directors, its entire workforce and its leadership team form a corporate
fabric whose strength is fed through diversity in race, gender and
ethnicity, among other factors."

The Corp! Diversity Award focuses on companies that demonstrate a
commitment to diversity and show how diversity adds organizational value.
The award also recognizes companies that recruit and foster the career
development of minority and disabled employees, those that support
community outreach programs for diversity, and those that have developed
internal programs and initiatives to capitalize on the opportunities that a
diverse workforce and supplier base brings.

    Voices

As an active corporate citizen, Compuware supports diversity
initiatives on multiple levels. For example, Compuware has established a
diversity program called "Voices," which stands for Vision, Opportunity,
Innovation, Communication and Enterprise. Voices is comprised of
employee-initiated resource groups created around an aspect of common
social identity, with current groups organized for African American,
Chinese, Indian and Latin American cultures, as well as a Compuware Women's
Association. Any employee can join any employee resource group, which helps
distinguish Compuware as an employer of choice, support community
initiatives and identify and foster business opportunities.

Compuware's work environment and recruiting program are not only
diverse, but also inclusive. The company offers a diversity training
program for all employees, and it has established a high school internship
program that generates interest in technology among women and minority
students. Successful Compuware interns enjoy an increased potential for
full-time employment upon graduation.

"Compuware clearly values diversity, and the entire organization
benefits from that belief," said Lori Walker, Compuware Director of
Diversity and Community Relations. "We practice what we preach -- hiring
and promoting a diverse, high-performing talent pool that excels worldwide.
And, we are extremely pleased to be publicly recognized for something we do
everyday. This Corp! award reflects Compuware's ongoing commitment to and
real-world practice of promoting diversity, inclusion and equality."
