NEW YORK, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TD Waterhouse Group, Inc.
today announced the appointment of Frank J. Petrilli to the newly-created
position of Chief Executive Officer of TD Waterhouse U.S.A., with overall
responsibility for the firm's U.S. strategic development and growth.
Mr. Petrilli's appointment is effective immediately and was made as Steve
McDonald assumes a new role as Vice Chair Corporate at TD Bank Financial
Group. In his new role, Mr. McDonald will be responsible for ensuring an
aggressive corporate development strategy as part of TD Bank Financial Group's
commitment to building the leading Canadian based North American financial
institution.
Mr. Petrilli will report to Ed Clark, President and Chief Operating
Officer of TD Bank Financial Group. In addition, Diane Walker, Chief
Administrative Officer, and Richard J. Rzasa, Chief Information Officer, and
Robert Hamilton, President and Chief Executive Officer of TD Waterhouse Bank,
will remain in their current roles and will report to Mr. Petrilli.

Mr. Petrilli, who is also an Executive Vice President of TD Bank Financial
Group, assumed responsibility as President and Chief Operating Officer of TD
Waterhouse Group, Inc. in 1999. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Petrilli served as
President and Chief Executive Officer, Waterhouse Investor Services, Inc. Mr.
Petrilli joined Waterhouse Securities in January 1995.
Mr. Petrilli received a B.S. from Fordham College of Business in 1972 and
an M.B.A. from Fordham Graduate School of Business in 1974. He received the
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1986. Mr. Petrilli is also a
director of the American Red Cross in Greater New York and of Big Brothers Big
Sisters of New York City.
