"We're delighted that Jewel-Osco is continuing its long-time relationship
with Highland Park," Geraci said. "We welcome Jewel-Osco and wish them
continued success in Highland Park."
Jewel-Osco President, Greg Josefowicz, said he cordially invites all area

In addition, Bears defensive lineman, Jim Flanigan will be on hand to sign
autographs from 12-4 p.m. and Osco will conduct blood pressure screening and
medication review.
"Jewel-Osco is thrilled to be providing the people of Highland Park with

The Highland Park store's bake shop can also create "portrait cakes" using
computer technology to reproduce a favorite photograph on a delicious pastry.
To highlight the grand opening celebration, Jewel-Osco is presenting
$2500 to the Apple Tree Theatre, an award winning professional theatrical
production company located in Highland Park.
Jewel-Osco Vice President of Government and Community Affairs, Ertharin
Cousin Moore, said the Melrose Park-based retailer welcomes the opportunity to
assist the Apple Tree Theatre in their efforts to provide year-round arts and
theater programming for people of all ages in Highland Park.
"Jewel-Osco is committed to enriching the quality of life in the
communities we serve," Cousin Moore said. "The Apple Tree Theatre is a
wonderful example of how an energetic local organization can make a positive
difference in their community."
The Apple Tree Theatre's founder and artistic director, Eileen Boevers,
said the Jewel-Osco's support will aid Theatre for Young Audiences -- the
theatre's educational outreach program serving more than 10,000 Chicagoland
children annually in grades five through nine.
The TYA program brings curriculum to life, and assists teachers in
bringing popular middle-school literature to the stage.
"This has traditionally been an under-served audience," Boevers said.
"Our TYA program provides a valuable learning tool and introduces many
children to the theatre for the first time."

Monday through Saturday. The store will close each Sunday at midnight, and
re-open Monday at 6 a.m. The pharmacy will be open: Monday through Friday,
