NEW YORK, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Newsweek.com won two top honors in the
Media Industry Newsletter's third annual Best of the Web Awards, it was
announced today. Newsweek.com was honored in the Editorial Excellence and
Integration with Print categories.
In awarding the Editorial Excellence prize to Newsweek.com, judges hailed
Newsweek's site for "its unparalleled online coverage of the presidential
campaign and the war in Iraq which led to a doubling of both traffic and ad
revenue in 2004."
The Best Integration with Print award was for Newsweek.com's Health For
Life MD forums, in which experts from Harvard Medical School answered readers'
questions. The Media Industry Newsletter recognized Newsweek's May (women's
health) and September (mind and body) Health For Life MD features.
The Best of the Web Awards salute consumer and B2B magazine Web sites in
13 categories. The program is the only industry honor solely recognizing
online publishing excellence.
