WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, January 26, the MAC
Network identified an isolated incident that affected certain cardholders who
performed transactions between 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 25.
This event affected less than one-half of one percent of MAC cardholders and
less than 4% of MAC financial institutions, located primarily along the East
Coast. These financial institutions were notified promptly that this event
had occurred and was being addressed, but might result in their cardholders'
transactions being posted more than once to their bank accounts. By
Wednesday, January 27, all affected financial institutions had the information
necessary to correct their cardholder accounts.
The MAC Network works very hard to make sure that our systems are accurate
and reliable, and we are committed to avoiding such incidents in the future.
