On-Demand Application Enables Enterprise to Leverage Multimedia
Functionality on BlackBerry Smartphones to Drive Mobile Workforce
Productivity
CHICAGO and PALM DESERT, Calif., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- LiquidTalk,
Inc., global provider of enterprise mobile workforce engagement solutions,
today announced the launch of its application for the BlackBerry(R)
platform at the DEMO 08 emerging technology conference.
LiquidTalk's secure, web-based (SaaS) application for the enterprise
enables remote employees to find, organize and create business-oriented
audio and video content and push it proactively to their mobile devices.
LiquidTalk has now expanded its solution to include the media-enabled
BlackBerry(R) 8800 Series, BlackBerry(R) Pearl(TM) and BlackBerry(R)
Curve(TM) smartphones.
"Organizations lose revenue every day because they are ill-equipped to
manage an increasingly disconnected mobile workforce," said David Peak,
LiquidTalk CEO. "Mobile workers are typically the customer-facing, revenue-
generating engine for organizations, so there are financial implications to
leaving this challenge unaddressed. We are thrilled to work with Research
In Motion to address this opportunity on the BlackBerry platform."
Market indicators point to the growing opportunity for organizations to
implement mobile workforce engagement initiatives. According to IDC, in
2007 over two-thirds of US workers were mobile. IDC also reports that the
market for mobile enterprise applications reached $1.2 billion in 2005 and
will grow to $3.5 billion in 2010, representing a compound annual growth
rate of 23%. A recent Aberdeen Group study found that the top two mobile
workforce issues companies face are keeping road warriors efficient at all
times and servicing customers effectively regardless of where employees
are.
The LiquidTalk application tackles these challenges head-on through the
power of multimedia content accessible through mobile devices. Business
intelligence such as sample sales pitches, competitive updates, skills
training and more can be accessed by remote employees during "cracks in the
day" to prepare for productive customer interaction, and market-facing
media like product demos and testimonials can empower more meaningful
customer engagement. Such media is pushed to the mobile devices of specific
employee groups using wired or wireless synchronization.
LiquidTalk's application for the BlackBerry platform will be unveiled
on the DEMO main stage at 2:08 pm on January 29, 2008 by co-founders Dave
Peak and Dan Anderson. LiquidTalk is just one of 18 enterprise (B2B)
solution providers hand-selected via a rigorous application process to join
the DEMO ranks. DEMO has earned a reputation for identifying and presenting
to an elite audience the products most likely to have a significant impact
on the marketplace in the coming year. Each product is carefully screened
and selected by founder Chris Shipley, one of the top trend spotters in the
high- tech industry.
"I am delighted to have LiquidTalk debut its integrated solution for
the BlackBerry platform at DEMO 08," said Shipley. "Early last year, DEMO
predicted the 'consumerization' of the enterprise, and with its focus on
the productivity for mobile professionals, LiquidTalk is an innovative
company leading this charge. I foresee LiquidTalk becoming as much a part
of an employee's daily activity as email is today."
The LiquidTalk application for BlackBerry is available now.
