Burger King Corporation Appoints Lynette McKee as Vice President, U.S. Franchise Development

     Strategic Appointment Demonstrates Continued Interest in Growing the
             BURGER KING(R) Brand through Restaurant Development

    MIAMI, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Burger King Corporation today announced the
appointment of Lynette McKee to the position of vice president, U.S. franchise
development effective immediately.  She will report directly to Mike Ellis,
executive vice president and chief development officer.

    Ms. McKee brings to Burger King Corporation a strong background in
franchise restaurant development with such well-known brands as Bennigan's,
Steak and Ale, Ponderosa, Bonanza, and Denny's.

professional to help us develop and implement a new restaurant development
strategy for our U.S. operations," said Mike Ellis.

    In her new role, McKee will be the principle point of contact with Burger
King Corporation's U.S. franchise community on all matters relating to the
development of new and existing franchise restaurants.  She will also oversee
the identification and selection of new franchisees.
    McKee holds a Bachelor of Science degree from George Peabody College of
Vanderbilt University.  She is a frequent speaker on franchise development,
especially for women and minorities.
