Therapies, Inc. (Nasdaq: TKTX) today announced that as part of its strategic
plan to market and sell Replagal(TM) (agalsidase alfa) enzyme replacement
therapy for the treatment of Fabry disease in Canada upon regulatory approval,
Paul McCabe has been named Country Manager. Mr. McCabe joins TKT from
Pharmacia Canada Inc. where he held the position Director, Oncology Business
Unit and led sales and marketing activities for this business in Canada. In
this newly created position, Mr. McCabe will have overall responsibility for
Replagal sales and marketing initiatives, including managing product
development and reimbursement.
In his role as Director of the Oncology Business Unit at Pharmacia Canada,
Mr. McCabe oversaw many product launches, including CAMPTOSAR(R), a leading
chemotherapeutic in Canada. Prior to joining Pharmacia Canada, Mr. McCabe held
positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing at Lederle
Laboratories and Cyanamid Canada, Inc. Mr. McCabe received a B.Sc. (Agr.) from
the University of Guelph and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
