BDO Seidman joins elite executive organization
Top Atlanta CEOs come together through Servant Leadership
ATLANTA, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Powell Goldstein LLP,
founding sponsor of CEO Netweavers in Atlanta, today announced that BDO
Seidman, LLP has joined the organization as an official sponsor. Launched
in Atlanta in 2006, CEO Netweavers is the fastest growing peer-to-peer
support network of CEOs and their trusted service providers based on the
principles of Servant Leadership.
Servant Leadership is the idea that the values and principles of giving
to others leads to stronger relationships and, ultimately, stronger
organizations. Defined by the founder of The Greenleaf Center for Servant
Leadership, it means sharing skills, experiences and relationships without
the expectation of anything in return.
"BDO Seidman's core values over nearly 100 years are reflected in the
goals of CEO Netweavers so we are honored to support this organization,"
stated Katherine Morris, a Partner in BDO Seidman's Atlanta office. "We as
a firm believe that when you invest in people, companies and the community
at large prosper."
Membership in CEO Netweavers is by invitation only and extended to
those community and business leaders who hold the top positions in their
organizations as well as subscribe to a "pay-it-forward" philosophy. All
members must have current or prior responsibility for operations with
revenue in excess of $150 million and must have served on the corporate
executive committee, as a corporate officer, on the board of directors or
in an equivalent position.
"Our firm is proud to be a sponsor as well as a member of an
organization that promotes community involvement and camaraderie among
Atlanta business leaders," said David M. Armitage, partner and member of
Powell Goldstein's executive committee. "There is an incredible amount of
institutional knowledge and a passion for service in this city and I
believe that we all benefit personally as well as professionally when we
come together to share our strengths."
The Atlanta chapter currently has 18 members including current and
former executives from some of the city's leading corporations.
CEO Netweavers was originally founded in Dallas, Texas, in 2001. The
organization's membership has grown to more than 200 employed and
in-transition CEOs and COOs, and over 100 Netweaver Partner professional
service advisors.
CEO Netweavers is a non-profit organization and has chapters in
