Oxford Enters into New Long-Term Agreement With Long Island Hospitals

    TRUMBULL, Conn., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Oxford Health Plans,
Inc. (NYSE: OHP) today announced that it has signed a multi-year agreement
with the following Long Island hospitals: Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, Good
Samaritan Hospital, J. T. Mather Memorial Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, New
Island Hospital, St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center, St. Charles Hospital,
St. Francis Hospital, South Nassau Community Hospital, South Oaks Hospital and
Winthrop-University Hospital.  The company did not disclose terms of the
agreement.
    "Through our renewed relationship with these healthcare facilities, we
continue to provide our members on Long Island access to an important group of
hospitals," said Chuck Berg, president and chief operating officer of Oxford.

    Founded in 1984, Oxford Health Plans, Inc. (http://www.oxfordhealth.com)

Connecticut, through its direct sales force, independent insurance agents and
