Raytheon Awarded $89.7 Million Option on U.S. Navy Engineering Services Contract

    RESTON, Va., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has been awarded a one-year option with a ceiling
of $89.7 million on its indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ)
contract with the Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR). The contract option
allows the company to continue providing the supplies and services required to
plan, manage and execute engineering, industrial, logistics and operational
support services. The award is the first of four one-year options available on
the contract, which was awarded in December 2001 with a ceiling in excess of
$430 million. Work will be performed in Indianapolis.
    This IDIQ option award provides an expeditious means for current customers
to continue support to ongoing programs, including BRU-33 Bomb Rack
production, LAU-115 Missile Launcher support, V-22 avionics support and
mission-planning software, Improved Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System
production, support for H-53 helicopter avionics components, and Shared
Reconnaissance Pod development and production.

maintenance; and in-service engineering functions.
