RSA Security Protects Customers Worldwide with Leading Identity and Access Management Solutions

More Than 5,800 Customers Including Adobe, California State Automobile
Association and Japan Net Bank Select RSA Security Solutions in the Fourth
Quarter of 2005 to Protect Online Identities and Digital Assets

BEDFORD, Mass., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- RSA Security Inc.
(Nasdaq: RSAS) today announced an expanding roster of customers, including
Japan Net Bank, the largest new customer in the company's history, that
selected RSA Security solutions to help protect online identities and
information in the fourth quarter of 2005. As of December 31, 2005,
approximately 20,000 organizations worldwide rely on RSA Security's identity
and access management solutions to secure their business assets and customer
information.
In addition, organizations worldwide made strategic investments in
multiple products from RSA Security during the quarter, such as RSA(R) Sign-On
Manager software combined with RSA SecurID(R) for Microsoft(R) Windows(R)
software for seamless, strong authentication into an enterprise single sign-on
environment; and eSphinx risk based authentication solution coupled with
eStamp for reverse authentication. (1)
"Hudson Advisors selected RSA Sign-On Manager enterprise single sign-on
solution after a close evaluation of products from six vendors, as we needed
an entirely new user sign-on and authentication system to control network
access. We also purchased tightly-integrated RSA SecurID for Microsoft
Windows two-factor authentication technology, replacing our tokens from Vasco
Data Security because of both poor product performance and customer service,"
said Mark Lynd, Global Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of
Technology at Hudson Advisors, LLC. "With more than 1,100 employees around
the globe, some users log into 14 different systems, and strong password
management was an onerous burden. Now, with RSA Sign-On Manager software, the
payoff we have been seeing includes significantly improved user productivity
and reduced support costs, especially with the IntelliAccess feature that
helps to maintain secure self-service. Also, audit compliance will be a big
cost-saver as we demonstrate effective access controls to regulators."
"We purchased RSA ClearTrust(R) access management software to be a key
element of our secure web portal, which is a major opportunity for us to
attract new customers and empower and retain existing customers," said Bob
Frank, Chief Information Security Officer for the California State Automobile
Association. "We expect that RSA ClearTrust technology and the RSA
Professional Services organization will help us to create a secure, efficient
and personalized web experience for our members to access their personal and
confidential insurance information via the Internet."

    Enterprise Solutions
Businesses and government organizations leveraging two-factor
authentication and/or enterprise single sign-on technology to secure the
enterprise included:
    * Asian Partners, a provider of global ERP software used by Japanese
corporations to manage their overseas operations, purchased RSA SecurID
technology to provide user authentication for its service-based customers in
order to significantly increase security at the time of access to mission-
critical business processes. Asian Partners will also engage with RSA
Professional Services to assist with the deployment of RSA SecurID technology.
    * Covenant Health, a comprehensive and community-owned health system,
expanded its deployment of RSA SecurID two-factor authentication that provides
secure remote access through an SSL VPN for physicians who tap into vital
patient data, including insurance information.
    * Foseco, a United Kingdom-based world leader in products and solutions
for improving foundry and steel mill performance, has recently purchased RSA
Sign-On Manager 4.5 software, as well as RSA SecurID SID800 USB-enabled
authenticators.
    * Online Computer Library Center, Inc. (OCLC), a nonprofit computer
library service and research organization dedicated to the public purposes of
furthering access to the world's information and reducing information costs,
recently purchased RSA Sign-On Manager software for enterprise single sign-on
to internal applications and to eliminate the need for users to change and
remember several passwords at a time. In tandem, OCLC selected RSA SecurID
for Microsoft Windows technology to secure access to all Microsoft Windows
desktops and networks and protect the enterprise single sign-on experience.

    Consumer Solutions
New and existing RSA Security customers selected a range of strong
authentication and anti-fraud solutions to protect online assets for both
consumers and businesses:
    * Alliant Credit Union, the eighth-largest credit union in the United
States with more than 192,000 members worldwide and $4.5 billion in assets,
purchased and deployed FraudAction anti-phishing and anti-pharming service to
protect their members against fraud and online attacks.
    * ASB, one of New Zealand's leading banks known for its leadership in
technology, and BankDirect, an Internet banking specialist, have extended
their two-factor authentication solution for customers to include RSA SecurID
technology. The banks will offer RSA SecurID tokens as an alternative to SMS
mobile phone messaging when customers register for Netcode - New Zealand's
first and only two-factor authentication security solution for retail banking
customers.
    * Japan Net Bank selected strong authentication technology from RSA
Security to better protect online banking customers in Japan. Japan Net Bank
will deploy RSA SecurID two-factor authentication tokens to more than one
million online banking customers and becomes the first financial institution
in the world to deliver two-factor authentication tokens to all active account
holders. Offering RSA SecurID tokens to online banking customers is part of
the bank's overall strategy for reinforcing the security of online banking.
    * Royal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in Wisconsin,
selected and implemented adaptive authentication technology from RSA Security,
including eSphinx risk based authentication solution, and eStamp, a reverse
authentication solution using watermarks, for RCU eBranch, its online account
access service.
    * Union Bank of California, one of the 25 largest banks in the United
States, is a long-time customer of RSA SecurID technology and has purchased an
additional 5,000 tokens to be used by commercial banking customers to safely
access accounts from remote locations to conduct wire transfers.

    Developer Solutions
RSA Security customers continue to use innovative data encryption
solutions to protect both transaction and application data:
    * Adobe, a global technology firm that revolutionizes how the world
engages with ideas and information - anytime, anywhere and through any medium
-- affirmed its commitment to RSA Security and expanded its use of RSA BSAFE
technology to encrypt the infrastructure of its applications.
    * iPass, an enterprise mobility services company which operates the
world's largest virtual network, and a long-time customer of RSA BSAFE
developer software, purchased additional licenses of RSA BSAFE SSL-J and RSA
BSAFE SSL-C software to encrypt authentication, settlement, and quality
management transactions.

"During the fourth quarter, we were able to leverage market opportunities
worldwide -- such as the need for stronger authentication, better password
management, and effective anti-fraud solutions -- to protect our customers'
online identities and digital assets. We have seen compelling multi-product
deployments that showcase the interoperability and powerful combinations of
our solutions, and significantly increased purchases of newer products," said
John Worrall, vice president of worldwide marketing at RSA Security. "We're
excited to see the results of this continued momentum throughout 2006 as we
work to further expand our customer base, while remaining committed to those
we already serve."
