Allan Newell to Retire From Board After 25 Years of Service
ATLANTA, Jan. 30, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Newell Rubbermaid Inc.
(NYSE: NWL) today announced that Michael A. Todman has joined the company's
board of directors. Todman, 49, is president of Whirlpool International and
a director of Whirlpool Corp.
In his 14-year career at Whirlpool, Todman significantly expanded
Whirlpool's sales, marketing and manufacturing locations in Europe. He also
grew relationships with retailers in the U.S. and Europe to solidify
Whirlpool's position as a leading appliance supplier, resulting in several
retail innovation awards from customers.

Prior to joining Whirlpool, Todman held a variety of leadership
positions at Wang Laboratories Inc. and Price Waterhouse and Co. A native
of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Todman holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in business administration from Georgetown University.
Newell Rubbermaid also announced that Allan P. Newell, a director since
1982, has elected to retire and will not seek renomination when his term
expires this year.
