ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Edens & Avant announced today
the grand opening on February 1 at 8:00 a.m. of the Publix at Rio Pinar
Plaza, a prominent neighborhood shopping center in Orlando. The new, larger
supermarket replaces the original Publix, which is being redeveloped for
in- line retail stores as part of an extensive center upgrade.
At 45,600 square feet, Publix will offer a wide variety of products and
services for the growing community surrounding Rio Pinar Plaza. The store
features a bakery, deli, floral department and fresh seafood department in
addition to a full-service pharmacy.
"This phase of the redevelopment included a number of moving parts due
to its complexity," said Lyle Darnall, Edens & Avant Vice President of

the success you see here today."
Situated in a dense residential area characterized by established
neighborhoods as well as significant new development to the southeast, Rio
Pinar Plaza will undergo a complete facade update along with parking and
landscape improvements. Small shop space will be added. Upon completion in
late summer 2007, the center will span 118,000 square feet.
