Users Can Upload Original Short Horror Films For A Chance To Be Included On
The DVD Release Of 'George A. Romero's Diary Of The Dead'
NEW YORK, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Weinstein Company and MySpace,
the world's most popular social network, today announced the official DIARY
OF THE DEAD Video Contest exclusively on MySpace. Beginning today through
February 29th, the MySpace Film community will have the opportunity to see
their own original horror short included on the DVD release of legendary
director George A. Romero's "Diary of the Dead." To enter, all filmmakers
must submit their original short horror films via the DIARY OF THE DEAD
MySpace profile at http://myspace.com/diaryofthedead.
Throughout the duration of the contest visitors of the DIARY OF THE
DEAD MySpace profile can vote on their favorite short films and the top ten
will be judged by George A. Romero himself. Romero will choose the five
best horror shorts to be included on the DVD release of the film, due out
in theaters on February 15th 2008, and his favorite film submission will
receive prominent placement.
